I have posted few kids furniture to sell in OLX on 14th Nov, 2021. I got a call from Vikas Patel(9674817639). He told me that he is working in Army and he is in boarder now. He agreed the price (Rs.5000), wants those kids items and his wife will come evening to collect it. Since he is in boarder, he wants to pay the money worth of Rs.5000 from Army account. Then I said Okay. He told me that he is giving the phone to army accounts person for the payment, his name is Ghanshyam Kumar Nishad(8011665776). He told me about how army transactions work like first we need to send the money then we’ll get the double in return. Since my amount is 5K, first I should make 5K payment to the army account, then I should get 10K return which is my 5K and 5K for the items’s purchase. Then testing purpose, I sent 100rs, immediately I got 200rs. then I sent the remaining amount which is 4900, I should receive 9800 in return. After that he started doing the real fraud movement. He said that somehow the transaction for stuck, now you can send me 9800 and you’ll recieve 19,600. After that I realized that I lost my 5K money.
I didn’t trust this process initially. But, only pulled me into this trust zone is becuase of army. I had huge respect to it. These fraud guys are misusing the army name and cheating many people. I have searched these people information on the web. There are many complaints agaist these people. But, not sure whether any action taken or not. They are doing this fraud since 2018 it looks like.
Fraud people by saying they are working in Army. Be careful
