I made an online transfer to my daughter studying at Georgia Institute of TEchnology on 23rd August 2022 for USD 10500 through Easy Money Transfer. The rupee equivalent was debited to my account and Swift Message was sent by Indusind Bank, Mumbai on 26th August 2022. The beneficiary student ID and name were missing. WHen I took it up with Easy money transfer,they did not help. (1) The company does not have helpline number (2) The company does not have local address (3) The company does not give official receipts for payment received. (4) The company does not have customer redressal mechanism. I had to take it up with Indusind bank and get the matter resolved and as on date the amount is not yet credited to the student’s account – No help from the Easymoney Transfer. It is urgently required that these kinds of companies are regulated to protect customer interests.
