My Paytm A/c was hacked through a fraud link on 12 March 2020 From 11.30 PM t0 12.30 PM. I have lost total amount of 60k from my 2 bank A/c respectively SBI – 40K & SCB – 20K.
It was hacked and operated by somebody with the help of a fraud link.
All my transaction related sms were deleted and after that I was receiving sms for change of mobile no. I was not able to access my paytm A/c also,
I immediately lodged complaint with PCMC Cyber Crime branch and my Banks accordingly.
Also immediately reported it to Paytm care as well Paytm cyber cell.
Also uninstalled Paytm A/c from my mobile.
I have sent couple of mails to Paytm care and Paytm Cyber cell to block my a/c but there was no action in this regards. In between the fraud party did some fraud transactions from my A/c and I started getting the calls from those people wherein it was difficult for me to convince them that my Paytm A/c is already hacked by a fraud and I have not done any such translations.
I once again approached Paytm Cyber Cell and then it was blocked on 19 March finally by loosing 6-7 days in between.
But if Paytm would have blocked my A/c immediately after my complaint on 13 March I need not have to face such shameful and panic situation.
I am constantly following with the PCMC Cyber Crime branch but as per them no support and update from Paytm till date so I decided to approach consumer forum.
