I am writing to file a complaint regarding a fraudulent work-from-home job scam conducted by individuals claiming to represent an organization named Input Masters. I was contacted through WhatsApp by a person introducing a data entry job offer. The job description involved completing 400 pages of typing work within 5 days, with a promised payment of Rs. 35 per correctly filled page. They assured flexible working hours and the use of mobile or PC for the task.
However, the offer included a clause that stated if the work was not completed within 5 days or the accuracy dropped below 85%, a penalty of Rs. 5,999 would be imposed. This condition was buried in the message and not properly disclosed upfront.
Later, I began receiving threatening messages from a number impersonating a law firm, alleging breach of contract and threatening legal action including civil and criminal contempt. I even received an unsolicited article by India Post from Mumbai, which I believe is part of this intimidation tactic.
I believe this is a clear case of online job fraud and extortion, targeting unsuspecting individuals with fake job offers and threatening them to extract money. I request your immediate action against the offenders.
