I was searching for a loan of ₹2 lakhs through an RBI-registered app. Unfortunately, I came across an app named Creditlense, which appeared to offer the loan. I submitted my personal details, and shortly after, ₹4,200 was deposited into my bank account. I immediately checked the app’s reviews on the Play Store and became alarmed after seeing multiple negative and suspicious reviews. So, I returned the amount right away.
However, within an hour, they started depositing more money into my account without my consent. I promptly contacted HDFC customer care and requested them to freeze my account to prevent further transactions. I also filed a complaint on the National Cyber Crime portal.
Now, the app is no longer available on the Play Store, and I have no way to return the additional amounts. The scammers have begun calling and sending threatening messages to my friends and contacts. They are also threatening to digitally alter my photo to appear nude and circulate it among my phone contacts.
I am feeling completely helpless and mentally tormented. I haven’t slept all night and have started having suicidal thoughts. I am pleading for help—can someone please assist me?
