Text of Complaint by Jinender Kumar Jain:

I bought one of OnePlus TVs on 11th Sept’22 owing to an amazing experience I have had while using OnePlus phones since 2015.

However, the TV stopped working on 6th Nov, 2022. I raised a complaint but did not get an answer on the customer case helpline. I finally got through on 11th Nov and my complaint was registered. As per the regular timelines, a technician would visit in the next 72 working hours and then it would take another 7 days to repair.

The technician did visit and said that there was a software issue which he will repair in the next 7 working days. Post which nobody reached out to me regarding the complaint and it’s redressal.

After 7 days, I called the customer care team and am informed that it is actually the display panel which is an issue and that it has already been ordered and would be delivered in the next 7 working days. (How can the display panel get damaged in the first 50 days? Why should I accept a repaired TV in the first 2 months of purchase? Why would it take 15 days for the spare part to reach when you can deliver a brand new TV in 2 days?).

I still kept my cool only to realise after 7 days that they have still not received the part. Today it is 5th Dec, i.e., 25 day of the complaint and I get a revert from the customer care team that please wait for another 7-10 working days.

I simply don’t understand why should the customer wait for 1 month and more to get their TV repaired when ideally it should be replaced because it is actually a manufacturing defect and why would you want your customer to be without a TV for 1 month owing to your negligence and incompetence. So please replace TV at the earliest to avoid unnecessary harassment to the customers by lingering the customer complaints. Always making the fool of customers. Now I only wants the total compensation of Rs.50000/-.
