Sometime back I got a green line on my OnePlus 9 pro display and after doing some research on internet it’s a very common issue faced my most OnePlus users as it’s a software update issue damaging phones so OnePlus is offering free screen replacement and if spare parts are not available company is offering vouchers for it so I visited all the service centre near by and no where the spare part was available I was just told that wait for sometime and as it was my father’s who is a cancer patient I cannot keep his phone with me so recently I went to all the service centres again and same issue I was not getting the screen replacement due to unavailability of spare parts and I was denied when asked for voucher as company is not providing any voucher for OnePlus 9 pro but they are providing it for OnePlus 9 so after that I contacted the customer care and told them about this issue so I was not getting any solution but hopes that the issue will be resolved so I was told that to raise a pickup request from the store app and OnePlus will collect my phone and repair it
So I followed the steps it was 21 sep when I raised the complaint and I sent them the photo of my lock screen the date can be seen on it so the time of pickup was in morning so now I had to backup the data and as my father’s is not so techie and never cleared the storage the phone was almost full and I had no time to segregate important and useless data so I had to transfer it all to his computer before submitting the phone so transferring 200gb of data takes alot of time meanwhile the battery drained and turned off so my dad called me getting panicked about the situation and I called the customer care that the phone went off while I was doing this so my office is close to my house as he is a patient in case of any situation I can come home so after checking the phone was drained thats why it went off so I charged it and completed the remaining data transfer and after sometime the delivery agent came to collect the phone and after few days I am receiving a call from OnePlus service centre Bangalore or something I didn’t get it clearly that they won’t repair my phone as it’s dead and won’t turn on and the phones motherboard is damaged if that was the case why would I send my device and opt for the screen replacement the thing is OnePlus 9 pro was a expensive phone and they are avoiding it by blaming it on the customer by saying that I sent them a pre damaged and dead phone I attached a pic of the device working before it was sent to the service centre
