I Have an OnePlus 8 Pro device which doesn’t have any physical damage, but recently it had a green line issue on the display after a major update from OnePlus. This was a common issue to OnePlus users after the update and was said to solve this issue with a free display repair service. When I first contacted the OnePlus Customer Care, they said that I can claim a free display service for my device and I booked a repair through the OnePlus Care app. the Service Center told me asking for a total amount of Rs. 16,000 for the repair and said that the device was out of warranty. Then, I called the OnePlus Customer Care and enquired about the same and they are now telling me that they only provide free service for OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8T. I have the three call recordings.
