On 08-June-2020 i paid Rs 3536 to get a new airtel broadband connection. A lady from sales team Madurai, Tamilnadu, named Raghavi from mobile number 8940512104 initiated for the new connection and as per her instructions and assurance that I will get optic fibre connection for up to 200mbps and 300GB plan, I paid the full amount on the same day and received the Airtel Xstream Fiber Digital Application Form number 05421519457.
One day later I received a call from +91452500901 saying that to my home they can’t give optic fibre connection, only copper wire with 16mbps is possible. I said but that was not assured to me and the person asked me to speak to the sales person itself. I then spoke to Raghavi but this time she said it is not possible for optic fibre connection with 200mbps and only 16mbps speed is possible. I said if that is the case then I don’t want the connection and asked to refund the money which I paid. She said refund initiation process will be done and I will receive a message and mail on refund initiation. But till friday that is 12-June-2020 I didn’t receive any such information.
Then on Friday I spoke to Raghavi asking for the refund status, she gave her manger Balaji contact number 9003237558 and asked to speak to him. I called him and he said by the same day evening they will give the connection. Believing his words i waited for anyone to come for giving the connection. But no one came. At that point only I realized that I am getting cheated. From then I am trying to their contact numbers but no answer from them. I also went to the Airtel office near Madurai collector office which was said as the head office and explained everything. There also they said I will receive the refund amount by Wednesday (17-June-2020). But till now there is no sign of any thing like that.
Again I tried all the contact numbers, customer care number and also mailed to 121@in.airtel.com, Tamilnadu nodal office mail and even to the ceo mail ID which I got from google, there is no response.
Till now there is no update on my connection or refund.
