I HAD ORDERED FOR A PORTUGUESE DICTIONARY ( ENGLISH-PORTUGUESE).
WHAT I RECEIVED INSTEAD WAS AN OLD NEWSPAPER IN AN APPARENTLY TAMPERED ENVELOPE.
THE AMOUNT WAS APROX RS. 432/= WHICH WAS PAID TO THE COURIER.( AS IT WAS A C.O.D.) THE COURIER REFUSED TO LET ME CHECK THE CONTENTS OF THE PACKAGE EVEN ON MY INSISTENCE AND DEMANDED TO BE PAID FOR THE PACKAGE BEFORE I EVEN OPENED IT; SAYING THAT IT WAS COMPANY POLICY THAT THE MONEY SHOULD BE PAID FIRST AND CUSTOMER COULD NOT CHECK WHAT WAS INSIDE.
AS I HAD TO LEAVE IN A HURRY FOR MUMBAI , I TOOK DELIVERY OF THE PACKAGE ANYWAY.
THE DELIVERY GUY TOOK THE MONEY AND IMMEDIATELY LEFT ON HIS BIKE LEAVING NO TIME FOR ME TO INSPECT WHAT WAS IN THE PACKAGE.
A COUPLE OF DAYS ON MY RETURN I WAS SHOCKED TO NOTE THAT IN THE PACKAGE I ORDERED WAS NOTHING BUT A PIECE OF OLD NEWSLETTER OR PAPER WHICH HAD NO RELEVANCE IN ANYWAY TO MY ORDERED PORTUGUESE DICTIONARY.
EITHER THIS WAS A MISTAKE ON THE PART OF FLIPKART OR DELIBERATE I CAN’T SAY. IT IS ALSO POSSIBLE THAT THE PACKAGE WAS TAMPERED WITH BY THE COURIER OR DELIVERY PERSONEL SINCE I NOTICED AND REALISED LATER THAT I NEVER EVER RECEIVED PACKAGES BY FLIPKART OR ANY OTHER ONLINE STORE SEALING A PACKAGE WITH BROWN MASKING TAPE!
WHICH WAS EXACTLY HOW THIS ENVELOPE WAS SEALED.
I HAVE PICTURES TO PROVE THIS AND ALSO THE CONTENTS.
I HAD LODGED A COMPLAIN TO SOME OF THE FLIPKART REPRESENTATIVES BY PHONE BUT EVEN ON THEIR GUARANTING TO LOOK INTO THE MATTER HAVE SINCE REMAINED INCOMMUNICADO. AS YET NO RESPONSE.
I WOULD LIKE A REFUND ON THE SAME OR THE PRODUCT THAT I ORDERED FOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE…
