Hello,
I have a number that I recently tried to port from Jio postpaid to Airtel Black. I had raised a request on Monday 26th July 2021 and on Tuesday 27th July 2021 an airtel field agent visited my house and handed me a same later on I received a message from airtel that on Thursday 29th July 2021 at 23:30HRS my number would be ported in and so it happened the Jio sim started showing no service and I inserted the airtel sim. The phone showed a few network bars and the airtel logo on top but the call for tele-verification was not getting connected to “59059”. So I called the airtel helpline from my alternate number but I only got one response that was to wait till morning. It was Friday 30th July 2021 now I called on 59059 again but it only showed call failed so I called on airtel helpline again and they told me I should visit the airtel store and that they will raise a complaint so that my problem is solved on urgent basis but I did not hear back from airtel for a few hours so I planned to visit the airtel store. At the store the representative told me that the number is awaiting tele-verification and that I’ll have to wait in the mean time he said he will also raise a request for assistance. I asked him he could tele verify at the store but he refused I asked him to change the sim if it has any problems but he said till the number is not active he cannot help. After coming back I waited for a resolution call from airtel but no one called so I called customer care again but all they made me do was switch on and off my phone 3 time’s then he said he is also raising a complaint and it shall be processed on urgent basis so in waited again and no response. On Saturday 31st July 2021 I decided to call again and the gentlemen over the phone first refused that the number I shared was never ported into airtel and asked me to visit the store and when I told him that I had already visited to this he replied “If they cannot help even we cannot. Kindly contact the person who ported your number. I told him my request for porting was raised from airtels website and not a store. To which he said sorry please visit the store”.
It’s been almost 35-40 Hours that my number has been switched of I am asking for immediate assistance.
Also if port in to airtel is not possible I would request you to port me back to Jio.
I have been very much patient for a person who’s mobile number is switched off for 40 or so hours.
Also, I am attaching all the necessary screenshots with this email.
Kindly look into this on urgent basis.
