I receive a gift card from one of my friend , but even after multiple calls with amazon customer care they are not taking necessary steps to redeem the money . below are the replies i got from customer care
Customer care replies
- Just try to copy and paste the gift card from received email id and try (Tried , but failed )
- Try to enter the code manually and add to gift card option.(Failed )
- Your amazon account is not KYC verified that may be the reason(I uploaded KYC and tried but still failing )
- The email id used as recipient is not your email id .(If this is the case what is the purpose of gift card number.The gift voucher was given to my official email id , even i forwarded the mail back to customer care they said it can be claimed for the person who purchased this coupon 🙂 )
- You need to request the person who send the gift voucher to you and ask him to resend it .(Is this the way to receive the gift voucher ? .Ask and get the gift? )
If i need to contact the sender to transfer it again , there can be options like Gpay or UPI payment etc .
On conclusion i realized that i will not get the gift voucher and the gift voucher will be with amazon .Why amazon is doing direct robbery from the peoples ?.
The most interesting thing is point number 4 from customer care executive ‘maran’ . If email id should be same as that of the persons who receive the gift card then what is the purpose of gift card number ? . If email id has to be same for the person who receives the gift then AMAZON can think about changing the name of this option to ‘Email voucher’ or some thing.
