Text of Complaint by Rohith Reddy:

On 13th July 2021, I purchased a flight ticket from Bangalore to Hyderabad on travolook (Ref No REF654050055). Subsequently, I was informed via mail that the ticket was in processing, and that I must wait for 30 minutes. After that too elapsed, a mail notified me that my reservation was “cancelled due to an operational reason” and that a refund will be provided post “10-15 working days (excluding Saturday, Sunday and Gazetted holiday)..”.

Since i have not received the refund, I have mailed them back on 17th August, 2021, 19th August, 2021, 7th, 8th, 14th, 19th September, 2021. In between i get a mail which is auto generated “We are working on the issue.” In sipte of several follow up mail in the month of October, They have shared a Screenshot stating refund has been processed and i will receive in 7 days.

Unfortunately that 7 days did come in my life. I have been waiting from July, 2021 till today i.e. 4th Feb, 2022 for that 7 days to complete.

Later, I found on searching online that thousands of others have been duped by this service, which extracts money in this fashion and refuses or attempts to delay refunding the amount using classical delaying tactics. They harass consumers and siphon a large percentage of the total money off in this way. The trick is to use fake profiles to highlight quick refunds (when that is not the case), alongside making people accept inordinate delays after having set up a customercare system which placates customers with the same empty promises.

Naturally, I was devastated, but decided not to give up.
