Not getting refund of my exchanged mobile from Amazon

Text of Complaint by S. Srinivas:

I am a Prime Member of Amazon and a regular customer,

I have purchased a mobile Mi 11X 5G from Amazon ( Order No # 407-7734037-0015528 ) on 7th of Oct 21, by exchanging my old iPhone 6 and they have sent me a defected mobile.

When I have enquired about the refund before returning the mobile with customer care they said you will get a complete refund i.e. the amount paid with credit card and exchange price on the old phone.

After calling customer care based on the conversation with him I have returned the defective mobile back to Amazon. On they have refunded me the amount which I have paid through Credit Card and Rs. 2450 on my Amazon pay Balance, But Rs. 7000 still I should get from them.

After placing the return request they have sent an email stating Rs. 7000 will not be paid as it is some promotional discount that is not mentioned anywhere on the invoice or on the product listing description.

I have called multiple times to customer care and asked about the refund and they just guided me the wrong way don’t know their own policies. Most of the customer care people said you will get the exchanged value in your Amazon Pay balance and they have all this recording with them.

From one of the customer care representatives, I have a written email stating that she will resolve the issue within 48 hours and call back after 2 days, but still, I didn’t get a call from them.

But waiting after around 2 weeks when I have escalated this issue the escalation team is saying simply that you will not get the amount.

It is simply a cheating customer by sending defective products and not giving a proper response when the customer want is facing any issues.
