Text of Complaint by Umed NAKAR:

On April 2, a salesperson misled me on the sale of a membership for ₹90, 000 which was converted into a 15% high-interest loan without my consent or confirmation and was not conveyed to me at all. Apart from this, there was incomplete information shared for the utilisation of the membership with one-sided terms and conditions.
I have already sent mail to Royal Club IDs to cancel membership within 7 days of registration, but there has been no reply from them. This case is also being taken up with HDFC Bank as a disputed transaction. Still, no help was expected as money was paid via a 3rd party gateway. I need your help to refund my hard-earned money, which they have duped me out of.

Attached is the mail communication sent to the merchant for cancellation.

The following are the reasons for my cancellation.

1) I was informed by the salesperson that the amount of ₹ 90, 000 would be on a no-cost EMI with zero interest. However, according to my bank statement, a 15% interest is being charged as a loan, which was misleadingly represented by the Royal Club representatives.
2) I was also informed that I could use the 35 holiday days whenever I wanted. However, after signing the documents, I found out that I must use the first 21 days within a three-year period, which was not disclosed by Royal Club representatives at the introduction session.
To date, there have been more than 10+ complaints registered on the consumer complaint forum in 2023 aloan, and not a single positive review for the company. This information was not disclosed by the Royal Club representatives, which makes me feel deceived.

4) The salesperson did not disclose that the membership amount of ₹ 90, 000 would be converted into a loan and that the bank would levy charges, which is again misleading and deceptive.
