Dear Sir/Madam,
I had activated Do Not Disturb (DND) service in 2016. It was never effective, I would continue to get many promotional and marketing SMS.
I complained many times and instead of resolving the problem, each time I was harassed with numerous questions on the details of each SMS I got – which anyway are available to Airtel.
About 10 days back again I complained and I was told my DND was not active and has since been activated. However, I still continue to get annoying promotional SMS and calls from various companies – many from so-called share market advisories.
Today I am enquiring about the status of the DND with Airtel. The repeated response of Airtel is to say I must include my mobile number in the Subject line without which they will not process my request.
Fact is – my mobile number is included (see screen shot attached.)
Required: Stringent action against Airtel for violating DND for commercial gain and today refusing to accept my letter on patently false claim – proven so by supporting documentary evidence.
