We have booked returned flight from Mumbai to Varanasi on 12th Dec. 2019. Flight was booked through make my trip (Booking ID: NF71136243916062) for Spice jet airline.
Booking details are as follows and e-ticket is also attached for reference.
Mumbai to Varanasi- Travel date ( 3rd May 2020)- Spice jet (SG-246)- PNR (W8W9NF)
Varanasi to Mumbai – Travel date ( 30th May 2020)- Spice jet (SG- 247)- PNR (Q7MHWI)
Above flights were cancelled as per government guideline on account of safety measure and to contained spread of COVID-19. On aforesaid flight cancellation, Make my trip and airline have only provided refund for oneway trip i.e. PNR (W8W9NF) that too in form of credit voucher valid till 28th February 2021.
Since airline has neither operated nor incurred any cost, it is not fair at there part to refund half of flight booking amount and that too in form of credit voucher valid till 28th February 2021, period during which no family travels due to regular children schools and other obligations.
We request consumer forum to kindly look into our grievance and refund of full ticket booking amount by make my trip & spice jet.
