Dear Sir/Ma’am,
I have booked an air ticket from Delhi to Kathmandu on 26th June 2019 (PNR no JYKM8) for 5 person.Due to Brain surgery of one of the passenger (Mr. Ram Krishan Gupta- ticket no 0989571055195) i cancelled the ticket by contacting Air India office on 20th June 2019 at 15.55 hours.
First i was told that i will get full refund and I need to submit the following:
a) Certificate from hospital that the passenger is not fit to travel.
b) Discharge summary from hospital (wherein date of admission was 17th June 2019 and date of discharge was 23th June 2019) and.
c) The confirmation from Air India dated 20th June 2019 for the cancellation.
I submitted the same in July 2019 to Paytm .Than in Aug 2019 i was asked to bring confirmation from Air India that i will get full refund due to medical case which i denied following up with Air India and asked Paytm to coordinate with Air India directly.
After following up for 1 and a half i was informed that there is no such policy of Air India from medical case and i requested for normal refund as per policy and resubmitted the documents by mail to Paytm.
On 30th Sep 2019 i lodge a escalation with Paytm for refund of the money vide complaint id no 141263782. Till than i have been following up through Patm app, Calling on customer care but ever time i am told that the refund will be processed and in 2-3 day and i will receive a call back from company which i never received.
Request refund of the cancelled Air ticket along with interest for the delayed period and appropriate award for the mental discomfort due to the delayed refund.
