Dear Sir/ Ma’am, I, Dr. Swati Tyagi, worked as Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Chandigarh University from August 26, 2020 to March 08, 2021. During my joining, HR executive (Ms. Pooja) informed me about the relieving procedure (describing me wrong policies about relieving) to give one month prior notice, which I confirmed thrice before joining. Due to some personal reasons, I resigned on February 8, 2021 (12:30 pm) after talking to Department HOD to serve one month notice period till March 08, 2021. I got an email in reply to my resignation that the notice period will be till end of semester, about which I was not informed earlier. On discussing with Director HR and the department , they assured me to relieve me within this period after looking for my replacement. The director HR asked me to give my replacement, for which I provided 3 quality resumes in the department twice, none of which received even a single call. Later, I was being told that they had selected the candidate, but until he/she would join, the department would not relieve me, and further if I stop coming to university, they would consider me an absconder. Also I was asked to visit the HR department regularly to check for the status of joining the new candidate, in reply to which the HR department executive told me they had no information about any candidate for such replacement. Also, they did not give me the salary for 1 month, 8 day (served period). Moreover the administration blocked my official email id also, due to which I am sending this email through my personal email. I raised this issue to faculty advisory also, and later on to higher authorities, such as chancellor, pro-vc, registrar, faculty advisory, but did not get any response even after sending so many emails and calls. Furthermore, for the past one month, I was mentally and financially harassed by fake promises and unclear responses. Since I had served the complete one month notice period with all my sincerity and loyalty, I don’t know why I was mentally harassed by the department to such an extent. Furthermore, my hard-earned salary for the served month of notice period has also been blocked for no reason. I had completed all the tasks allotted to me, such as covering the syllabus for MST, taking doubt sessions, and taking regular classes. Moreover I am taking doubts of students now also. I humbly request you to please kindly look into my matter, as being a faculty coming from a middle class, I am facing a financial crunch right now. After serving the university with my full dedication and sincerity, I am looking forward to getting a positive response now from the higher educational regulatory body for this unethical behaviour by communicating me wrong policies during joining and giving me false communication for the complete notice period and then changing their statements on the day of my relieving. In search of justice to get my hard earned salary, I am attaching all the communications during this notice period. I request you to kindly look into this matter. I have recording also, where the wrong policies were told to me during joining.
