I had placed an order online for cake delivery on 7th December 2024 from their website paying an amount of Rs 2024/- including extra fix time delivery charges of Rs 150 to deliver the cake on time between 7 pm to 8pm at hotel ritz classic goa. Infact when we were there by 8 pm I found out that the cake is not delivered yet and tried calling on the available number several times but no response at the number. Thereafter I had to email them raising my concern for delivery and then I got a call saying we will check and get back to you. However I waited for another 10 minutes there was no sign of call back. Tried calling again and this time they told me it’s been delivered. By this time it was already 9 pm and it was such an embarrassing moment in front of the family as there was no cake from my end for cutting it. So later I asked them to cancel the order and refund my cake amount since it was mere mistake from their end for which I’m not liable to pay any amount. They did not contact me for any delay explaining the reasons nor did they seek necessity to inform me if there was any issue in delivering on time. Now the staff is apologising and to give a refund of only rs 150. However as per them the cake is delivered, however till 11 pm when we left it had still not reached the premises. Wrote an email to them to refund me the cake amount and keep the delivery charges if required. But they seem not bothered to reply nor bear the charges for their mistake in spoiling the gathering. Neither did i get the cake or the refund amount. This shouldn’t be happening again to me or anyone in the future.
