I ordered a certain item – tracking ID 1337624978653. I ordered it on Amazon and apparently, it was supposed to delivered by Delhivery. While, I received three notifications (on 3 days) that my order was out for delivery, the delivery failed every time.
I contacted Amazon customer care after each unsuccessful delivery attempt, and I was assured by the executives, urging them to ensure that the order doesn’t go back to the seller (because it had so happened with a previous order). Despite getting an assurance from Amazon, I woke up last morning to a notification that my order was returning to the seller! Yesterday, I was assured yet again that the order won’t return to the seller but I woke up this morning to an email that told me a refund was being initiated! This is akin to harassment!!
Apparently, the delivery agent could not reach me on a certain contact number. However, I had asked Amazon’s customer care executives (twice) that they should let the delivery company know of another number. I even raised a query on Delhivery’s portal, but to no avail. The agent should have tried to contact me on my alternate number or email, and the Amazon customer care executives (who knew that there was some issue with one of my numbers) should have made sure that the same is properly communicated to the delivery agent. However, all that the customer care executives could tell me was that they had “filed a complaint” and despite their assurance that the order won’t return to the seller before the guaranteed delivery date (29/12/20), they eventually ended up asking me to reorder the item! It seems Amazon’s customer care service exists only for “raising queries”, and not solving any!
I have been Amazon’s customer for 5 years now, but I think it’s time for me to swtich over to some other ecommerce company with better delivery and customer care services.
