Text of Complaint by Dattatrey Toke:

I purchased a Manual Single Seater recliner from Amazon portal on 27 October 2020 for Rs 12599.10.
The same was delivered to me on 28 October 2020.
On 29 October 2020, I requested a return as the product was not meeting my requirements. This was in line with the Amazon return policy.
Same was acknowledged on the portal. I received a message on 29 October 2020 from the Courier company (Delhivery) that the “item as per AWB1493120190041 will be picked up today.”
From 29 October 2020 till today ie 15 November 2020, I keep on getting the same message every day TWICE, but the item is not picked up. I wrote an enquiry to the courier company on 02 Nov 2020. Their reply was received on 10 November, 11 November and 13 November 2020. All replies are same stating that “the pick up will occur today.”
I have contacted Amazon call Centre at least TEN times for effecting the pickup. Every time I am given a sweet talk about apologies and the pick up will occur in next 48 hrs. As of today 15 November 2020, nothing has happened.
All my efforts to arrange the pick up have proved futile. That is biggest disadvantage of “faceless” trade on the web. Amazon does not provide any e-mail service for expressing difficulties.
If this is the plight of PRIME members, I can imagine what might be happening to others.
