Dear Sir/ Madam,
The undersigned wishes to draw your kind attention to the fact that my family and I (4 in all) are all subscribers to Airtel mobile SIM’s. We are also subscriber to Airtel Xstream Fiber. The past month (June 2020) till date (12 July 2020) has witnessed sudden loss in siganl and internet speed. The signal in our mobiles (all smartphones) is ZERO for nearly 90% of the day. The internet speed is very slow even on 5Ghz bandwidth. Three of us Work From Home and fourth has online classes daily and we depend largely on online shopping for daily essentials, groceries and vegetables. The issue of no signal makes it next to impossible to carry out any payment transaction while waiting for OTP and other secure validation options resulting waste of time, payment issues, waiting for refunds due to cancellation of orders, delivery boys not able to reach us etc. This issue of no signal has practically crippled us and is ruining our life and depriving our basic right to life and livelihood.
It is very strange that SMS alerts reminding payment due dates with threats of penalty @ Rs. 100 per day are promptly delivered. Assurances from the CEO, Mr. Gopal Vittal by virtue of his emails are far from reassuring and on the contrary there is no avenue worth mentioning which can be used by us customers for redressal of our grievances as all such avenues are non-responsive.
Such lackadaisical approach by Airtel warrants harsher measures and even legal recourse if the issues faced by me are not addressed immediately at the risk and cost of Airtel.
