Text of Complaint by Tabassum Khair Barbhuiya:

Dear Team,

This is Tabassum Khair Barbhuiya having Airtel prepaid connection with number +91-7292887877 taken from Hyderabad, Telangana. Currently I am in Brisbane, Australia and the SIM was working well till August 2020 end since my stay over here from March 2020. But from September 2020, the signal is not getting detected, even though the phone is detecting the SIM in the SIM slot. I tried to latch the network manually for the local network after rebooting the phone, disabling VOLTE and selecting 2G, 3G connection, SIM inserted in another SIM slot, different handset as well. I have tried with all permutation and combination, but nothing has worked. I suspect that the SIM card is damaged.
Since I cannot fly back to India currently, I have sent my friend to the Airtel Store in Hyderabad with all relevant documents as well as an authorization letter to collect a new SIM card on my name, but it has been suggested that only parents can do this on my behalf. Since my parents are based at Assam, I have sent them to store over there but it was said that since the SIM card belongs to Andhra Circle, it cannot be issued from Northeast circle.
Without having any options left, I tweeted this on a Social media account and since then five customer care executives came in touch with me to resolve the issue (Service Request No. CCNOR31008420035). And every time each one of them came up with the same procedure to latch the network manually which i have done numerous times, but nothing has worked out.  I have done numerous times recharge to keep the SIM active.
At this moment I feel so helpless as I need to get this number active as soon as possible as this has been linked with all official documents of mine and I am stuck now with few Bank as well as taxation tasks as I am not receiving any OTPs.
I request you to provide a solution to this serious issue. May I request to send my new SIM card to my home address if I provide all documents of mine over mail. This is really urgent. The support in this regard will be highly appreciated.
