Jio blocks certain services on its network, especially the ones that are competing against it. I tried to purchase a license to a security software from my computer. However, the payment failed to go through, because of the failure to connect to the server. I tried to go to the company website, but even the website failed to load. Finally, I was able to connect to the website after enabling the VPN, however, I didn’t try to pay using the VPN due to phishing. Same is the case with many gaming sites and clients that the Jio network is blocking, such as Steam, Origin, etc. Unfortunately, I live in that part of Indian Democracy where we only get the fastest 2G internet in the world, supplemented by broadband internet. As a result, using mobile internet to make payments is an impossibility.
