Team VI,

I am highly disappointed by the unresponsive behavior of Vodafone Idea.
1. On 30th November 2020 my postpaid VI number 9329010269 was made inactive abruptly without any intimation/notice and the reason is still unknown. Till date neither the problem is diagnosed nor the number is activated.  On contacting customer care at 198 I was told to visit VI store.
I got my number MNP from Airtel on 21.08.2020, Later on 29th my number got suspended for bill dues from the previous biller i.e. Airtel for Rs 31 for which I immediately made the payment (receipt enclosed) and services resumed.
PS: Instead of suspending the number for such a penny amount why can’t you add the dues from the previous biller to your current bill and get it paid without harassing the customer. At least postpaid customers should be taken care of.
2. Accordingly, I visited VI store at  MI Shree Sai Communication, 107, Hotel Amantaran, G E Road, Supela, Bhilai, Distt Durg 490023 CG where I met VI executive Mr Kuldeep Mo No. 8878488878/ 9669059941. He committed me that number shall get activated within 15 minutes, I waited there for 2 hours and my number couldn’t be activated. Further I exchanged my contact details with Mr Kuldeep and got assurance that the number shall be activated within an hour. At noon 1:30 PM Mr Kuldeep phoned me and asked for my Adhar and Photograph over whatsapp which I shared immediately. On further following up Mr Kuldeep at 5 PM I was told that It took time to get printed the Photo and Adhar. Now they are filling a physical form for activation of inactive number. Next day on  01st December 2020 I got a phone call from Mr Kuldeep for submission of Photo and Adhar again by visiting the VI store. when I reached VI store at 10 AM it wasn’t open yet. At 10:10 AM the store got opened by Mr Kuldeep and  I submitted the document as demanded. On enquiring for the reason for delay I quoted from  Mr Kuldeep ” Yesterday ie 30.11.2020 was closing day and he could not get time to get print out of the sent documents”. Finally I was told that now the case is not in his hand and he cannot commit a deadline for activation of the number. And now he is sending the physical form along with my KYC documents to VI store, MI Jai Balaji comm, 102, Ground floor, Dhillon complex, Akash Ganga, Supela, Bhilai 490023 and they shall take care of it further.
PS: I shall sue Mr Kuldeep for his misdeed. Is this the way the VI trained their executives to deal with clients?
3. Next day on 02.11.2020 I was told by Miss Mili from MI Jai Balaji Comm to visit Raipur CRS office to get the number activated which I was prohibited to visit later by her as she told that she got credentials to log in from Bhilai store only. and Number shall get activated within 4 hours, which never happened.
PS: Please provide an explanation for misguidance?
4. I also met VI store Bhilai Franchise owner (address MI Shree Sai Communication, 107, Hotel Amantaran, G E Road, Supela, Bhilai, Distt Durg 490023 CG) and got different deadlines for activation of my number which also failed to perform. And finally today I got quoted from him “VI is not good now as before the merger and I also left the interest, I was helping you just as a human being”.
PS: The responses have become hopeless.
5. I also tweeted and mailed to top executives raised issues with Facebook VI chat, VI chatbot but nothing worked out.
6. As a response I got calls from 02250897580, 02067647300 and 9763100136 and got multiple assurances for activation of the number. But all commitments were failed.
My mentioned number is 20 yrs old active number. All my phone calls are shut and because of unresponsive behaviour I am facing huge loss every day. Who is accountable for all this? who shall be penalised for my mental trauma and monetary losses? This is a highly irresponsible and unacceptable attitude. Are these guys literally in sleeping mode?
I want my number to be activated immediately without any further delay. And all above mentioned culprits should be penalised for their misdeeds. Also proper explanation should be provided along with compensation for mental & physical trauma to me. Justice awaited at your door. I shall not be compelled to knock door of appellate authority.
