Hello sir /madam
I am an Airtel customer for as long as I can remember, and I had a postpaid number. Since I am frequently traveling, I had this postpaid number changed to prepaid in 2017. The usage is limited, however, this is the number for all my correspondence, bank, insurance, aadhar, and everything possible.
I just realized that this number has been assigned to someone else a month ago. I am shocked. How can this be done with no information whatsoever. Now with my travel schedule, I cannot come immediately and make changes or get a new number.
How am I going to get this issue resolved. I did contact Airtel and they just asked me to get a new number. That’s not the concern. Do they realize how many official transactions are linked to the number I had.
I am totally at a loss. I’m on personal travel and cannot get back immediately to address this. Please help me understand this and find a solution.
