Text of Complaint by SOUVIK TRIPATHY:

I have been using that airtel mobile number (Prepaid) since 2006 approx now suddenly I found that mobile number has been to assigned to some other person that too without my concern. Now my that  mobile is attached with the bank and that unknown person is receiving the OTP and other msgs. I went to Airtel Care at Chinar Park Kolkata and the guy told me that the number can be activated but it comes with one CONDITION; which is I have to make that POSTPAID. WHAT THE CRAP !!!! Choosing postpaid or prepaid is my choice not their CHOICE !! They also mention that there is no other way to resolve this issue. Making the number POSTPAID they are trapping the customers. Eventually they will send you huge bills and you will have to go through lot of hurdles when to want to deactivate or change it to prepaid. STAY AWAY FROM FRAUDS LIKE AIRTEL. I am hopeful that strict actions should be taken by TRAI against such frauds.
