Amazon shipped a parcel from America to South Africa.
The package took several months to arrive at the destination and was received completely damaged.
The package had water damage and all the equipment within was wet. (Electronics)
Amazon agreed to send a new package to me and asked me to return the old one.
Within 12 days after returning the package within the given time as requested by Amazon, they started charging my credit account for each item in the initial parcel.
I have spoken to their customer support line multiple times, provided proof that the items were returned, provided waybills and even a link to EMS USA so they can see the package is waiting to be shipped, but the account was hit with charges several times during this back and forth.
I have requested to speak to Amazon management or any higher up to resolve the issue but only receive a response that they cannot call me from their side. (Gave them 2 numbers, one of which is an internationally open VoIP number)
on July 25 2022 I received an email confirming that one of the items have been received at their refunds department and was refunded $89.19 but the problems do not stop here.
just 1 day after receiving that email, once again they deduct money from my credit card saying they are waiting on items. (All these items were shipped in the same box & properly packaged)
This has led to me accruing interest and additional losses on my credit card and made it extremely hard for me and my family to survive over the last 2 months.
I have backups of every chat with Amazon associates along with pictures of the damaged products received & an invoice from EMS South Africa of when the package was sent along with all the details regarding the shipment.
