I purchased Motorola G72 phone for myself. Device is now out of warranty, with being 1 year and 6 months old. Since last few weeks, phone developed green lines in the middle of the screen following a Motorola software update.
This issue clearly stems from Motorola’s faulty update, not from any misuse on our part. What’s more troubling is the unfair treatment Motorola is displaying. While they are providing free screen replacements for similar issues in the Moto Edge series and the Moto G52 and G54 series, they are refusing to extend the same support to G72 users. This is not only unjust but also undermines the trust consumers place in the brand.
It is outrageous that Motorola is neglecting G72 users, leaving us to bear the cost of their mistakes. I demand that strict action be taken against these practices, which essentially rob customers of their hard-earned money for defective products and subpar after-sales service. Motorola needs to rectify this situation immediately and offer the same free screen replacement service to G72 users, just as they have done for other models. If you can see the below image, you can make out how worse the issue is and making phone unable to use.
