I got an advertisement on my mobile browser about Money Plus loan app. I was only checking my eligibility with phone number, adhaar and bank account, I did not approve of the loan, but they sent me Rs. 1800 without my consent or agreement letter. After I received the amount I was suspicious I emailed on the given address, someone replied that I am liable to pay them back but failed to provide me any documentation and did not reply me any further. They started calling me from 6th day after the incident and demanded that I pay amount greater than what they gave me. Different people called from different numbers and demanded from Rs. 3,000 – Rs. 9,000. They have also called people from my contact list and harassed them. I refuse to pay excessive amounts in return, I have sought legal counsel, and I believe I have no liability to pay the extra amount. I am willing to payback the Rs. 1,800 but there is no option in the app to pay this amount. So i have not paid it.
