To The Honorable Consumer Forum,
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Vivo India regarding a serious safety incident involving one of their mobile devices.
On the night of 31st August 2025, my Vivo smartphone exploded automatically without any physical damage, misuse, or prior warning. The blast occurred while the phone was idle, posing a severe risk to my safety and property. Fortunately, I escaped without major injury, but the incident was extremely traumatic and could have resulted in serious harm.
Immediately after the incident, I contacted Vivo’s customer care team and visited their service center. However, despite multiple follow-ups, the company has denied responsibility and refused to provide any resolution or support. This response is unacceptable, especially given the gravity of the situation and the potential danger to consumers.
I am seeking the following from Vivo India:
Compensation for the damaged device and mental distress
Assurance of safety standards and preventive measures for future customers
I am attaching all relevant documentation, including purchase details, photographs of the damaged device
