I am trying to generate MNP Port out code to change my service provider from VI and am getting error:
“UPC cannot be generated for the reasons: (1)There are subsisting contractual obligations with your service provider. Please contact your service provider for further assistance.”
I was informed that my number had “FamilyPack” enabled which was not allowing me to port out the number. I have raised multiple complaints to get the plan deactivated but in spite of getting multiple assurances that the deactivation request had been raised, I am still not able to generate the request.
I want to raise a complaint against this unlawful lock in of my number and want to know what are the necessary legal steps I can take to be able to port my number.
