Hello Sir/Madam,
I had been using Airtel 4G hotspot since 2016.
Since I was not getting good coverage of 4G, In Feb 2019 I went to Airtel gallery (located at Pimple Saudagar, Pune) to stop my hotspot services. Since I was not sure about my future use of hotspot, I was given an option by the Customer Service executive to put this number in safe custody for 3 months. The procedure told to me was to pay the previous bill and they will put the request for next 3 months. I was told that I will be getting a bill of Rs. 50 + GST every month for 3 months. After my confirmation and bill payment, the person put the request.
Last month, I got the bill for full amount again. I called up Customer Care on 27th March 2019 and asked about the safe custody request. To which she said that the safe custody request got cancelled automatically. Though I was not informed about this, I asked her to take the request again and I did the full payment of previous bill. I was given surety that this time the request has been put and will be done.
On 27th April, I see the bill getting generated again for Rs 588.82 again. When I called up Customer care this time again, the support executive is telling me another process which none of the earlier executives had told me.
I have already paid my bills with zero service. I didn’t even switch on my device trusting on Airtel and the requests I had put. Why should I keep paying for service which Airtel is not providing me and giving me wrong information?
I felt cheated.
Now I have put the complaint for stopping this hotspot completely and I have received the request number too (Reference No. 31-1455358272427).
Because of half or wrong knowledge of you Customer Support executives why should customer suffer?
Why should I pay this bill?
As a customer I should be paying for whatever service I am using. I have not used this hotspot in 2-3 months thinking that it has gone in safe custody.
I have also written to Airtel 121 email ID. But have not received any response so far.
Please help me resolving this.
