I am using tatasky set top box ( subscriber id 1119245932} for the past 5 years. Recently i started getting Error 02. When called the help line number 1860 208 6633 they said it may be of digicard issue and the cost of the spare is Rs. 150 and technician visit charges Rs.150 and in toto it would cost Rs.300/-. I said ok and post that they were asking me to confirm the address and phone number.
After verifying the same they said the cost of the digicard is Rs.300 and the technician visit charges is Rs.150 and in toto it will cost Rs.450.
I tried reaching the customer care manager and they are not connecting to him and also not giving his contact details to share.
I find they are taking advantage and try to charge more.
I would like to have a justice on this.

I have been issued a new digicard as the old one was not working properly and showed errors.
But from the day one the new card also showed error 2 and sometimes error 1.
I complained to the technician who came to install the new digi card but no action was taken.
I complained to the Tata customer care and they confirmed me that they will be issuing new digi card free of charge as the card is having one year guarantee , but they are insisting that I have to pay service charge of 175/- without any fault of ours.
The technician confirms that no charge will be levied on u for changing the new digi card as it is under warranty.
An early reply and favourable action is awaited.
