My name is Syed Raza, I am a customer of Paytm / Clix Capital (Financer). I took a personal loan from Paytm in March 2021 due to some personal requirements. In April, I lost my job due to a covid crisis. I belong to a lower-middle-class family and we live in a rented house in Malviya Nagar, Delhi. My family members are also not capable to help me to pay the EMIs on time. So I dropped the email two weeks back regarding the restructuring of my personal loan released by RBI (2.0: Resolution of Covid-19 related stress of Individuals and Small Businesses) on 5th May 2021. Unfortunately, I didn’t get any response from Paytm. So I dropped the mail to Clix Capital who was the financier of my personal loan. They have taken down my request and advised me to wait for 48 hours but not getting any resolution from them as well. During this hardship period, the collection team came to my house and forced me to pay the pending EMI. For two months I somehow managed the EMI from my friends and paid it. Now this month again collection agent came to my house and asked me to talk to his boss. His boss name was Anil Yadav from Noida office. I told him I have requested for restructuring my personal loan under covid relief scheme release by RBI, he replied: “you’re not going to get any offer because Paytm is not offering at all so you have to pay the EMI at any cost no matter what phase you’re in and if you want to record this call you can”. I asked him then if I am not capable now to pay the EMI then what should I do, he replied: “If you’re not capable then why did you take the loan” He actually misbehaved with me and told me, today I have sent one agent to your place if you do not pay then I will send four people, even when I told him, for now, I am not capable to pay the EMIs. I am not getting restructure of my personal loan, I am not getting any support from the collections team in this hardship time even the collection team is threatening me and putting down my self-respect. As a consumer, I request you to please take action on them. Thank you.
