I made my purchase on Oct 13th based on the unique condition to be delivered by Oct 14 (Friday), in the Double Tree by Hilton Magnificent Mile Chicago hotel. As I explained clearly to the attendant in the chat, in the purchase moment on Oct 13 (Thu), I only could purchase if and only if Microsoft could deliver by Oct 14 (Friday), because a friend of mine was hosting in that hotel and she would check out on Oct 15 (Sat) at an unknown time. She would fly back to Brazil on Oct 15 (Sat) to bring the package to me.
After I had paid my purchase and with an extra payment for “express shipping” (and after have struggled a lot to have my payment accepted because Microsoft had problems with processing payments), and got an order confirmation by email, and a few hours later I received another e-mail saying my order would be delivered only on Oct 16 (Sun) – TWO DAYS LATER THE DELIVERY TIME AGREED IN THE PURCHASE MOMENT.
After that, I contacted Microsoft Store again to have sure about that. I asked twice if Microsoft does not manage to deliver by Oct 14 (Fri), otherwise… I’d have to cancel my order and receive my money back.
With the attendant confirmation about the delivery delay, I requested the immediate cancellation of my order which I got the cancellation number: 7008851493, and I requested you refund my money back.
On the same day, I could barely believe that, after seeing the order status change and receiving a #tracking number saying that my order would be picked up by UPS. I contacted Microsoft Store AGAIN to make sure my cancellation was done and to make sure that MICROSOFT WOULDN’T LET UPS PICK UP the order once it had already been canceled.
The Microsoft attendant said I shouldn’t be worried about it because my cancellation was done. Even though I contacted UPS to let them know that my order was canceled, and to ask them to do not pick up this order from Microsoft. They said they couldn’t refuse to pick up a package and the cancellation should be done by Microsoft Store. I contacted Microsoft Store AGAIN to let them know and to make sure they wouldn’t give the order to be delivered. Again, you said I shouldn’t get worried about it.
On Monday (17) I received another e-mail saying my order would be delivered on that day (THREE DAYS LATER AND EVEN AFTER I CANCELLED THE ORDER). With that, I contacted Microsoft again to make sure my order was canceled. I contacted UPS to say they shouldn’t deliver the package, and I called the Hotel, and I requested they refuse the package. I told them to NOT RECEIVE the package.
But it seems that nobody cared about it. Even after I contacted Microsoft Store a dozen times to cancel and to make sure my order was canceled, contacted UPS three times to request they not deliver anything, and contacted the hotel twice to request them to refuse the package, everybody did the exact opposite.
I wasted all my Skype phone credits with that and it didn’t work.
Even after I paid an extra fee for “express shipping” to deliver by Oct 14 (Fri), Microsoft failed with a late delivery.
EVEN after I had requested to cancel my order, Microsoft Failed by giving the order to UPS.
EVEN after I had requested UPS to not pick up my order, they did it.
EVEN after I had warned Microsoft to not give my order to UPS for delivery, Microsoft FAILED to give it.
EVEN after I had requested the Hotel staff to refuse to receive the order, they did it.
It’s a phenomenal succession of FAILURES from Microsoft Store, and now I cannot do anything at all.
In fact, I totally regret having bought a Microsoft Surface 6 pro in Aug 2019 (at 5th ave Store / NYC). ‘Cause after that I just got regrets and bothering. After having spent 2000 USD, 6 months later my Surface TypeCover got 3 keys that stop working (Letter C, number 2, and windows key). One month later, my surface pen and my arc mouse stopped working. I contacted Microsoft Brazil to request support, but nobody cared about it. Nobody helped me at that time. Since we were in the Mid of 2020, I was unable to travel back to NYC to claim my warranty due to covid-19 travel restrictions. It’s the worst support service I ever had in my life. Since the beginning so far.
When I placed my order, I had an opportunity to buy these products through a friend of mine who was in Chicago, and even by paying myself (with no warranty from my original products), I just regretted it and got bothered.
Microsoft FAILED by delivering my order without my permission, a product that I canceled. That’s why I cannot do anything at all.
The only thing I want is my money back, and fast. To charge from my card you were fast. So, I want my money back fast too. I have already kindly requested you to refund my money back. I want that it’s done.
You can request somebody from Microsoft Store in Chicago to go to the Hotel and pick up the package since I’m here in Brazil. Or somebody from UPS either could do that.
I cannot do anything at all, since you delivered the package that was already canceled, without my permission, and after many contacts from me warning you. I tried many times to help, but it didn’t work.
So, now I just want my money back.
They provided me the following cancellation number: Thank you so much for your kindly waiting, This is the cancellation number: 7008851493 within 24 business hours you will receive an confirmation for the cancellation of the order 4026886333
After that they told me
The resolution will be provided within 10 business days. This is the case number: 7008936771.
However… After contacting them again, they told me there is nothing to do… and they refuse to refund my money back.
Is it possible to sue them?
