I got a 6 month plan from jio fiber and paid up 4240.92 upfront and got a month bonus for a total of 7 months. I was promised a reliable internet connection, landline service and digital entertainment in 4k. I asked if at any point I wanted to pause the connection the sales guy assured me that I could skip recharging if I wanted. This I found to be untrue as he signed me up for a post paid connection instead of prepaid like I wanted.
Right after installation, I noticed that the landline was not working as the device they sent was defective. I informed the sales representative I was in contact with to no avail.
The 4k TV entertainment quality was very disappointing. It was pixelated and was worse than the Fire TV content I was watching before.
Three months in, I experienced a problem. When I reported the lack of connectivity, Jio assigned a service engineer to fix it. The engineer kept rescheduling appointments without my consent and reported that I asked for a change of time.
After 4 days of it, I was beaten and asked for a disconnection. The customer care person called and informed me that if I cancel now (3 months in of which 1 was free, so 4 months left) I will barely get any money back.
The company will not refund the GST, charge some fee for cancellation, and check if I damaged their device.
I have been taken advantage of repeatedly by this company. They can’t send service representatives timely but can collect a device on disconnection pretty fast. They won’t refund me for the days my service wasn’t working from their incompetence. They have lied to me, misrepresented the facts and cheated me.
I have been harassed to the point where I feel powerless against their antics. Apart from the money they are stealing I have suffered financial losses due to their incompetence and would like you to investigate their unethical business practices.
