This is in regards to the conversation I had with one of the advisor from Sanjog Marriage.
Background : I received a request on kayastha sangam app (a different matrimony site) for the profile of Pranay Srivastava , there was a number shared in the profile. We liked the profile and decided to send a message on this number to check their interest and then ultimately proceed with the conversation. I sent a message on the number and the response was to share the biodata. We assumed this is the number of the boy/boy’s parents and shared the details of biodata. Few hours later we got a call from the number stating that she is the advisor for Pranay Srivastava and the guy’s family likes the profile and wants to talk, and arranged a con-call.
We got the number from kayastha sangam so we assumed the advisor is from kayastha sangam.
We had a con-call with A.K.Srivastava (guy’s father – the person introduced himself as this), it went well. Then the advisor called us later saying we need to pay 8k then she can share the contact. Then she told me she is from some other matrimony site – Sanjog and that without the amount she can’t share details and also in this 8k their matrimony agency will arrange for meetings etc.
We did not pay as we never wanted to register somewhere else, however she kept calling us and texting us stating the guy’s side is interested and she can arrange a meeting, we had another conference call (my mom and his dad) and they told us that the kundalis match and they are very interested.
We then waited again for 2 days and she kept calling us , then we decided that we will pay and get the contact. We paid via phonepe, and she next day created my profile on sanjog and gave us some fake number where we could not speak to anyone. No one picked calls on that number and they never responded on whatsapp.
We asked her for the profile id of the guy and she never shared. It’s been 12 days since we paid and we have never been able to contact the guy’s side, the advisor also did not receive our calls. She never gave us any update, and never picks our calls or responds over chat. This is just a way of making customers fall in their trap and after they take money the customer has no other choice but to be stuck with the agency. I would like your help to get the amount refunded.
