I registered on a matrimonial website and was subsequently contacted by a marriage bureau named Gauri Marriage Bureau based in Nagpur person Name is Nidhi . After some communication, the bureau provided a profile of a potential match (a girl’s profile), with the condition that the consumer had to register with their bureau in order to obtain her contact details. The consumer, in good faith, completed the registration and paid a fee of ₹5000 for the services.
Once registered, the bureau provided the contact number of the girl, but after reaching out, the consumer encountered a lack of response. Despite repeated attempts, the girl failed to answer the consumer’s calls. Additionally, the marriage bureau itself stopped responding to the my calls after a period of 2,3 days. This unresponsiveness has continued for a period of 2,3 months, during which the consumer has not received any meaningful assistance, nor was there any follow-up regarding the services they paid for.
Possible Actions consumer court cant take
1 – File a Complaint on marriage bureau
2- Seek Legal Action
3 – Request a Refund to me
