I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against an individual named Manish Patel, who falsely claims to be a certified crypto trader and operates a Telegram channel named @ManishProfIts and “Manish Crypto,” which has more than 27,000 subscribers and is rapidly growing with an average of 300-700 new members daily.
Details of the Fraud:
On 04/01/2025, I transferred Rs. 10,000 to Manish Patel for crypto trading services. The payment was made to an account under a different person’s name, which raised my suspicions. Initially, he communicated with me and assured me that trading was ongoing.
On 08/01/2025, I contacted him in the morning around 8:00 AM, and he responded, asking me to wait. Later in the evening, he informed me that a profit of Rs. 2,80,000 had been generated and asked me to provide my UPI or bank account details for withdrawal. However, he soon demanded an additional Rs. 18,000 as a withdrawal commission before processing the profit.
At this point, I realized it was a scam, as genuine trading platforms do not require additional payments for withdrawals. Since then, Manish Patel has stopped responding to my messages.
