I was contacted on WhatsApp by the number 8808148388 regarding an online betting/earning platform. I was asked to deposit a small amount to activate my account.
After depositing ₹1,040 via UPI, they showed a fake balance of ₹1,00,000 in my account. When I tried to withdraw, they demanded an additional 25% deposit (₹25,000), claiming it was mandatory for first withdrawal.
They refused to deduct charges from my balance and insisted I pay more money first. This is a clear case of online financial fraud and cheating.
I believe the displayed balance was fake and created to scam users into making further payments.
I am attaching screenshots of the WhatsApp chat, payment proof, and the message/image demanding 25% deposit.
Please investigate and take action against the fraudster to prevent further victim
