Dear Team,
Please refer attached screenshot. Receiving threats to repay loan from unknown sender on whatsapp. We have not taken any loan from this application (Indian Loan Association-Flash Loan). The sender is not picking up phone either. This appears be some loan scam or fraud. Such threat messages are creating lot of stress and worry. Kind request to the authority to please help and guide and take necessary action immediately if possible.
[Whatsapp message received as below: Indian Loan Association Reminder! Your loan is now overdue, if payment is not made soon we will start contacting your family and emergency contacts. We urge you to pay immediately to avoid further penalties and consequences, at your own risk! remind! After payment, please upload the payment voucher showing the details of the 12 digit UTR code, otherwise the payment will be invalid download link https://bit.ly/3SVU3Vh.
In addition to above, wanted to update that I have also been subjected to one more scam last month from application named “u-money”. This app was downloaded by me to check loan eligibility but I never requested or provided approval for any loan disbursal. The company credited three transactions amounting to INR 1800 each in my bank account without my approval and requested to repay INR 3000 for each transaction within six days. I had raised concerns via email to the Company but with no proper co-ordination and response from their end I ended up paying INR 3,600 interest which was not refunded back despite making multiple requests. Have attached screenshot of mail communication for reference. This one also had requested for 12 digit UTR code while making payment. I am not sure but there could be some connection between the unknown sender and this app.
Please guide and help if possible.
