I am facing continuous harassment from a digital loan application. The representatives of this app are repeatedly calling my personal phone number using multiple unknown numbers. During these calls, they are using abusive, threatening, and verbally harassing language, causing me severe mental distress.
In addition to this, they have accessed my personal contact list — likely through the permissions granted to the app — and have begun sending multiple harassing emails to my office colleagues, including managers and team members. These emails falsely accuse me of being a defaulter and contain defamatory and threatening language, aimed at publicly shaming and pressuring me to make payments.
The situation has escalated to the point where:
My professional reputation is being damaged.
My colleagues are being disturbed and harassed through emails and unsolicited messages.
I am experiencing severe mental stress due to constant abuse, blackmail-like tactics, and violation of my privacy.
This behavior is not only unethical but also illegal. The loan app’s misuse of my personal data, unauthorized contact with my professional network, and repeated verbal harassment constitutes a criminal offense under Indian laws, including sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Information Technology (IT) Act.
I am requesting immediate action against this loan app and its agents for:
Harassment and abuse
Defamation and character assassination
Breach of privacy and data protection
Mental harassment and public shaming
