(1). *A person voluntarily files a false affidavit, then he/ she can be punished under section 191,193,195 and 199 of the Indian Penal Code for giving false statement. Punishment for filing a false affidavit is punishable by imprisonment for a term ranging from 3 to 7 years.*
(2). *Sec 340. filing the false affidavit or false statement before the court is an offence and the person who filed the same can be prosecuted for the offence of perjury U/s 340 along with the section 195.*
(3). *Section 465*:- *According to the Indian Penal Code deals with the penalty for forgery in India. As per this Section, the offence is punishable by a jail cycle elongating up to 2 years or fine or both. It is a non-cognizable, bailable offence in India that is triable by a Magistrate of the first class.*
