I was searching for online work from home jobs in Google and saw the site of Learn N Earn. I clicked on it and the page was blank. So I returned my home page. After 3 minutes a lady messaged me on WhatsApp saying she is from Learn and earn. I don’t know how she got my number. She told me that there are various work from home jobs without any registration fee or investment. They told me to send them any ID proof for varification ( adhaar or voters id or licence) so I sent my licence and then they gave me a portal and when I clicked on it, it took directly to a selfi session. I cancelled it and 10 minutes later the lady sent me a registration id and password saying that I am successfully registered.
After 6 days, some guy namely Neerav Patel from consumer commission department called me and said that the learn and earn have filed a case against me for not paying 7079 rupees plus GST. And then he sent me an agreement paper and said that I signed in it.
They put my adress, name,a selfie pic and signature in it.
The address and name should have got it from tha ID proof, but sign which is not mine and the photo… I don’t know how they got it…they threatened me and telling me that either I have to pay the fee before 11am or they will lead with the case legally and so I have to 54000 rupees. I don’t know what to do..
