Text of Complaint by Narayan Debnath:

Dear Sir,

I’m Narayan Debnath residing at Madhyamgram. On 4th July 2021, I bought a JioFiber broadband connection. For installation and demo, the sales executive Subhra Bose came along with technicians and installed the connection. I wanted a prepaid monthly rental subscription and Mr. Subhra Bose told me if I pay the six-month recharge in advance then I don’t have to pay the installation charge of Rs. 2500. Accordingly, I agreed and paid Rs. 8072.92 and they installed the connection. The next day when I checked my account details in the MyJio portal I saw my connection is a postpaid connection but I paid for prepaid and then I called the sales executive about it, he still denied that it’s not postpaid, it is pre-rental. I then called JioFiber customer care and after knowing all the incidents they raised a cancellation request of the connection on the 5th July and said I will get a full refund. Now on 7th July I again got a call from Jio and they are saying my cancellation request in progress and I won’t get a full refund and it will deduct money as long as they take to pick up the devices.

It is not my fault if their executive sell product by giving wrong description and if they delay of cancelling the connection, then why should I be suffered and pay?

I’m seeking your kind attention and help to get justice. I emailed their appellate authority but they did not provided any solution.
