Text of Complaint by Jai Shankar Agrawal:

I had activated a jiofiber connection on 28th Feb 2021 and initiated cancellation request on 27 March 2021 before the end of 30 days trial period. I also called customer care multiple times to raise device pickup request but the engineer did not come because my family was under quarantine. The device was finally picked up in the month of May.
I had paid Rs.2500 as security deposit for this connection but I have received only Rs.1500 till now. On calling customer care, I was told that Rs.1000 was not refunded because device pickup happened after 60 days of connection activation.
I understand the engineer cannot come for pickup during quarantine but the quarantine was lifted before 20th April 2021 for us and they are well aware of it as we already informed them about it. So they had good 10 days to make the pickup of the device before 60 days deadline ended but they choose not to. Since I had called customer care multiple times before 60 days to pickup device and I had every intention to return the device but their engineer did not come, it is not my fault the device was not picked up in time. My Rs.1000 should be refunded but they are refusing to make the refund. I even contacted their appellate authority to no avail. Any help on this would be much appreciated.
