I am writing to express my deep frustration regarding the delay in receiving my Jio SIM, despite having ported my Airtel number to Jio and making the payment online. As of today, it has been almost five days since I initiated the process, and I have yet to receive my SIM card.
This situation is not merely an inconvenience but a significant failure of service. My current prepaid plan with Airtel expires tonight, which means my ported number will become completely unusable for calls, data, and any form of communication.
I have made multiple calls to Jio’s customer care at 1800-889-9999, but my calls went unanswered initially. When I did finally get through, I was assured the SIM would be delivered by evening, but that promise was not kept. In an attempt to resolve the issue quickly, I offered to collect the SIM myself from a nearby Jio store, to avoid further delays. The customer service representative agreed to this solution, but when I arrived at the store, the staff refused to release the SIM, citing a policy that only the assigned agent could provide it.
In a further attempt to resolve this, I asked if I could wait at the store for the agent to arrive. However, I was once again denied, which I find both unreasonable and unacceptable. Given the urgency of the situation—my Airtel SIM expiring tonight—I cannot fathom why there is no flexibility in your policies or an effective solution to resolve this promptly.
Jio’s repeated delays, unresponsive delivery personnel, and rigid store policies have caused me significant distress, inconvenience, and financial loss. I demand immediate action to either expedite the SIM delivery today or authorize the store to release it directly to me. Additionally, I expect compensation for the distress and disruption this situation has caused.
