JIO suddenly deleted my primary number altogether! This is how everything took place:

1. Everything was fine until around 7:30 PM on Friday, 5th Nov 2021. When I checked my phone around 8.30 PM that same evening, it was showing No Service. I tried restarting my phone, re-inserting my SIM card – but nothing changed.

2. Next I called the JIO customer care and to my shock they told me that at around 8:03 PM that same evening my number was suddenly deleted altogether. Being my primary number, it has always been recharged. Also, I have not put in any porting request whatsoever for this number for years.

3. The customer care executive told me that he cannot view any further information on his side and suggested me to visit a near JIO Store. First in the morning today (6th Nov, 2021), I visited my nearest Reliance Digital Store to rectify this issue. They checked my number and showed me a screen which said ‘No records found’. I am still in shock how this is even possible. Having been a customer of JIO for so many years, one fine day my entire history has been wiped off.

There was absolutely no intimation whatsoever on phone/SMS/email before this happened. Looking for some help in this regards and how I can get my number back.
